BK8 Named Presenting Partner of the BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026

We are proud to announce that BK8 has been officially named the Presenting Partner of the BWF Thomas & Uber Cup Finals 2026. For us, this is not just a sponsorship — it is a genuine celebration of the sport and the passionate fans who make it what it is.

One of Badminton’s Greatest Stages

The Thomas & Uber Cup is the pinnacle of team badminton. First held in 1948, the Thomas Cup was born from a simple but powerful idea: to give badminton its own version of football’s World Cup, but for national teams. The Uber Cup, the women’s equivalent, followed in 1957. Since 1984, both tournaments have been held together, creating one of the most spectacular combined team sporting events in the world.

Over the decades, only a handful of nations have ever lifted these trophies. Indonesia has been the most dominant force in the Thomas Cup with 14 titles, while China leads the Uber Cup with 16 championships. The rivalry between these giants, joined by Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, and Denmark, has produced some of the most dramatic moments in badminton history.

2026: A New Chapter in Horsens

This year’s edition — the 34th Thomas Cup and 31st Uber Cup — takes place in Horsens, Denmark, from 24 April to 3 May 2026. Sixteen national teams compete in each event, battling through group stages before the knockout rounds determine who stands tallest. China arrive as defending champions in both competitions, having swept aside Indonesia in the 2024 finals. But in a sport this competitive, nothing is guaranteed.

Japan’s women’s squad, led by three-time world champion Yamaguchi Akane, will push China hard. India’s men, buoyed by their historic 2022 Thomas Cup victory, are hungry for more. And with Denmark hosting on home soil, expect passionate crowds and charged atmospheres throughout.
